Payspan and HATA will focus on the following priorities for the remainder of 2016:
  • Eligibility. HATA will improve the quality of data that comes back to the practice and biller to create a more meaningful, efficient and actionable transaction. This would be done through identifying the pain points for execution and working with payers to remedy the process, as well as developing best practices around the data provided.
  • Prior authorization. HATA will research and understand the barriers for adoption of prior authorization to understand the current utilization and challenges in developing a meaningful and efficient workflow.
  • Emerging payment models. HATA will define methods to enable Practice Management System vendors to successfully navigate to a “non-fee for service” payment methodology. HATA will then bring industry stakeholders together after a structure is built.
